Anthony Abbot, real name Charles Foulton Oursler, was born in America in 1893 and died 24 May 1952. His main series character was Thatcher Colt who appeared in the majority of stories. His most accomplished is probably The Shudders, or Deadly Secret in the UK. Abbot's first book was loosely based around the Lizzie Borden case. His writing style has been favourably likened to the likes of Ellery Queen and SS Van Dine. |
